Job Title: Business Central Developer
Department/Group: MADIC dynamics - Operations
Location: Home Based, Flexible, Head Office - Guildford, Surrey
Line Manager: Head of Development

As a Business Central Developer, your role will encompassing the following key areas:

Chargeable Activity

• Engage in chargeable activities, primarily focusing on developing Business Central Extension for Internal IP and Customer Projects
• This will also include extending third-party solutions including TRIMIT, Tasklet, Continia (OCR Document Management). Training will be provided.

Support

• Provide assistance to the Support Department, providing technical assistance to our client base.

Product Development/Pre-sales

• Gain expertise in the latest versions of Business Central and our Intellectual Property (IP) in Pub Companies and Breweries, Fashion, and Furniture verticals

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver timely chargeable developments
• Design and develop solutions within Dynamics Business Central
• Conduct integration development to external systems
• Mentor/manage junior colleagues
• Collaborate closely with the Consultancy Team for detailed technical solution specifications
• Uphold development best practices in design and implementation
• Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards are met
• Test and debug code for quality and accuracy
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

General Skills & Competencies

Essential:

• Good knowledge of Business Central/Microsoft NAV business processes
• AL Development experience (Partner experience preferred)
• Minimum 3 years BC/NAV Development experience
• Experience in writing technical specifications and providing development estimates
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:

• C/AL Development Experience
• Knowledge of SQL Server and Performance Tuning
• DevOps experience with tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Docker.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Power Platform
• Knowledge of Azure development and services
• Programming skills in related languages such as JavaScript, C#.
